We had a great Thanksgiving weekend, with a great dinner and family. We also went fishing over the holiday and Jimmy P caught about 9 fish!!! And yes we kept one to bring home and eat.

I think this was fish number 3 or 4 but I can't remember!

We went to visit an Alpaca Farm today, with our Mom's Club. What a blast we had Michael was not scared at ALL! It was so much fun!! I also have finished my fist thing from a pattern!! I made an apron!

Also I have started to take a sewing class. I have very little experience so I thought it would be nice to learn. Here is what I have made so far:

We have been busy sorry for not posting in a while. But here are some of our pics

Here is Jimmy, as you can see his summer has had a lot going on! He has been fishing a ton, swimming a ton, he has gone to the water park, and this last weekend he just got back from Joey's and Lauren's. He has had a blast!

And now for Michael who has been there on all of Jimmy's adventures. But really who can blame me that most of these pictures are him with no shirt on? He is so cute in his diaper!!!

This is my garden!! And things are actually growing!!! It is amazing I know!!! I feel so awesome that I am actually doing this right! Well at least so far! :) More pics at the water park, where we went yesterday again, because it was in the 90's!!

We have been busy, enjoying the summer weather. We have been going to the water park right by our house. Last night Jimmy P, Bonnie, and I went to the Reno Rodeo. And if Jimmy P is not the cutest cowboy then I don't know who is!!

Okay So I guess I should have gone to nursing school, or became a doctor. Michael does not have chicken pox. So if not that, then you might be wondering what is it? It sure looked like it at first, but then I noticed that there were no big blister forming and nothing was popping, or scabing. Then to top it off the places that he did have them they were turning purple. So weird. I decied to give the docotr a call today, and they said to bring him in. Turns out Michael was having a reaction to the amoxicilin that he was takeing for a cough/sinus infection. He is not allregic to penicilin and all that type of drugs! I guess it is a pretty bad type of reaction, he is getting a type of hives, called target lesions, that happen to about 5% of kids. Crazy!

Well I know 2 post in one day and that is beacuase this one gets its own post. We have came down with the Chicken Pox. Poor litte Michael has got he chicken pox!! My poor little baby. I noticed last night during his bath that he had some bumps I thought maybe they were mesquitoe bites, then this morning when getting ready for church I noticed some more and now well you can see it is full blown! We will now saying in the house till he is better. I hear that is about a week. So much fun! He has only had one of the two vacince shots so he was not proteced. Jimmy P has had both so hopefully he will be okay. Wish us luck in our quartine.

Fishing Tournament

Jimmy P was in a fishing tournament in Gardnerville yesterday. He had so much with fun! Especially with his friend Sam, they are like tow peas in a pod! They were so cute together! Well Jimmy P caught one of the first fishes and he also got to get a prize!! It was a really fun day and it was nice to see such a great event for kids1

One year old stats and a broken arm

Michael is one tiny little boy! Well I guess not to tiny, but he is so cute that is does not matter. He is 29 in long putting him the 50% but only 20 lbs 11 oz putting him way down in the 20%. He also has a 19 in head which puts him off the charts! My boys and their heads!!! We have also found out the Michael is having some trouble getting his poop to come out. He has been put on a laxative and hopefully it will allow the true problem to get better. He is now walking, all over! he never crawls, but tries to claim up on everything. He loves to talk on the phone and play with all of Jimmy P's toys. Unless he is in the kitchen taking everything out of the cabinets. He is no longer nursing, but is drinking milk and juice and eating table food. He loves any kind of berry. We also got a bunny. He is a little black one, and Jimmy P named him Jake. The boys love him and have fun petting him and chasing him around.

On to Jimmy P, who as I said broke his left arm. How or when you may ask, but I have no idea! I can not believe it, he never even complained about it. It never got swollen or bruised. On Tue night right before bed we noticed that he was not using his left arm, being left handed it was a cause of concern. We asked him to use it and he said it was not working. :( W#E then tried to touch it and get him to squeeze but he would just laugh. Odd I know. So I took him over to urgent care right before they closed and sure enough it was broken. Yes not fractured but actually broken. We then took him on wed to an ortho and they put a cast on. So now my little 3 year old has a blue and green cast on. :( He is dealing with it all like a champ.

As you can see we had a lot fun. Mike is now one years old and goes to his check up tomorrow. He is now walking all over the place, and getting into everything. He is a very happy baby. This weekend we went fishing and checked out some areas in the mountains. We also had a small party for him with family. He got some really nice toys and had a fun time.

Jim and Jimmy p went fishing with uncle Tommy and Uncle Steve yesterday. They had a lot of fun, catching the fish even though the weather was cold. Jimmy P lasted like a champ, and had a blast.

Jim does not like the hat that Mikey is wearing. I think it is funny!! but oh well, it did the job of keeping the sun off his little face! So mike is now 9 months old, we just had his check up. He weights only 18 lb 12 oz, 25% and 28 inches, 50%. So yea we have a little one! But he is still a cutie! He has the 2 teeth still, crawls like crazy, made it to the top of the stairs yesterday(with supervision). Stands up and walks around all the furniture. And is a smiley little guy!
Jimmy P is getting some meat on his bones, he is about 43 pounds and 41 1/2 inches.. big boy! loves to read, and write. And is way better at Super Mario Bros Wii then me and most grown adults.

We have had a big snow storm. Two houses down a tree broke and crashed into the house. But with all that we still have had a good time, and we have built this winters snowman. It even has hair!! So cute!

It has been a long time. But here are a few pictures of our Jan. including the very first ice storm I have been in. It was crazy!! very loud and very hard to walk on the ice. We also went to Great Falls National Park. It was pretty cool. Had some crazy waterfalls/rapids. There was a guy who was kayaking down, then when he got to the bottom he would hike back up over the rocks in the middle. But I think he must have been crazy because that water had to be freezing!

Uncle Tommy came to have Christmas with us, and it was a blast to have him here. Jimmy P loved having some one to play with, all the time. And Jim enjoyed having his little bother around. They managed to go hunting on one of the days, and go to basketball game. It was also very nice to have an extra set of hands around!

We went ice skating over the weekend, and Jimmy P got out there one some little skates and did such a great job! I am so proud of him, he fell down pretty bad and got a huge mark on his face, but he wanted to keep skating! I think he a had a good time, with this new experience. Here are some pictures of our first time in the snow this year. We even got Michael out in it, for about 20 secs!! hehe he does not have proper clothes! But Jimmy P loved it so much. Tonight we will be going to look at Christmas lights. They look so pretty in the snow. Oh we ended up with about 2 inches. And Jim was able to come home early because they closed his work down. Ha ha about 1 inch shuts down the whole US Gov't, now that is a laugh.

So we finally have Snow! The single digit weather, the crazy bitter cold, has finally given us some snow. As I type I can look out the window and see a nice little dusting of snow. Jimmy P obviously is wanting to go out and play, so I will be ending this, and going to play in the snow, although there is not much playing that can happen when there is not enough on the ground yet, but it is nice still to see it. I feel like a child when I see it snowing again. :) hehe

Even if they are getting up at 5:30 EVERY day they are still so cute that I have to squeaze them both so hard. Michael is very mombile, able to get around by rolling, flipping, and wiggling. Jimmy P now does a summersalt!!! and He is very good at it, if I say so myself!

Flying??

In case you are flying soon, I want to make sure you know what is happening.
You are now required to go through a "scanner" that can see through your clothes. If you refuse that then you get a pat down, that is very personal. As you can see in this video they are doing this even to kids. There is something really wrong here. All of our airports have these, I will not be allowing my children to go through that "scanner" and neither will I.

So I was going through some videos of Jimmy when he was about Michael's age. My conclusion, Michael is not doing what Jimmy was doing at 6 months. Well I guess is all fairness Michael is only 5 1/2 months, but I really don't see him doing what Jimmy did at 6 months. At 6 months Jimmy's crib was on the lowest setting, because he was standing it, which means he was pulling himself up in it! Not only was he pulling himself up, he was sitting up, something Michael still can not do. I know all childern advance at a different pace, ect ect but come on Michael, no teeth??? what is going on?!?!? Hehe... oh well Mikey you need to try harder! haha j/k Michael will most likley be crawling way before Jimmy and lets not forget that Jimmy had bowed legs, maybe Michael wont. Michael can also pick up and put his pacifer in his month by himself, and he is a bouncer, always bouncing. Here is the proof of Jimmy

We have moved, yes again! :) We now are living in Burke, VA near D.C. The pictures are of our new house in the area. We have been real busy with unpacking and moving and cleaning. We went to a corn maze by our house and I also took a picture of St Mary's lake after we had a TON of rain. The lake is up about 20 feet!!! And yes we fished it, and I caught A HUGE ONE!!! ME!!! 4 1/2 lbs!! but saddly we have no pictures :(

Yes, today was opening day for deer season. And of course by 5:30 Jim had shot his deer. He shot the deer on a "trot" with the bow. Jimmy P is also very excited, and wants to go hunting right now even though it is 9 o'clock!

We just got back from a fun weekend in Virgina Beach. Jim had to work while, we got to play!!
We had a room on the beach with an ocean view. Went to the beach, went for walks, played at parks, went to the aquarium, and most of all you can see that Michael learned a new trick! we have a thumb sucker!!!
But we had a great time, even with the flash flooding and the almost tornado Jim saw!

The Virgina Weekend

Yes that's right we went out this weekend to Virgina. We went to Virgina Beach on Friday, had some fun. Then the boys and I went to Williamsburg while Jim fished in a tournament on Saturday and Sunday. We had a great time, and most important, we did it!!! We got there, we stayed in a hotel, and we got home, all with no incident!!! It worked out great!

Over this weekend Jim fished in a tournment in Virgina. He caught a 9lb fish!!! and made it into Virgina's record books!!!

As of today I am now an aunt!! Tara had her little girl Ellery Lynn today! She had her by c-section this morning. Both mom and baby are doing great. Ellery was 6lb 14 oz and 19 in long.
I do wish I could be there to help Tara!!!

Fishing, and State Park days

As you can see this last weekend was a ton of fun in the sun!!! Jimmy got play on the "beach" ( a little sand area on the river bank) and had so much fun, that he did not even mind that he was wearing wet clothes. Just to let know that is a super huge deal because he is always taking his clothes off even if he gets his shirt wet after washing his hands!!! Of course we had a little fishing, can you see all the green!!! Everything is in full bloom here it is very pretty. Except the fact that there is a green dusting of pollen everywhere, on your car, on the ground, then it gets on you!! Oh well. And yes my belly is still getting bigger, but we have a c-section date now, of May 14th!! So one more month!!!
And yes it is Jimmy P who puts his hats on backwards.. I think it is so he can still see. By the way the hats are Jim's... yes that is how big Jimmy P's head is.. adult size

This is a correction to an earlier post. The picture of JImmy catching the fish is the first fish this season caught with a picture. HE HAS CAUGHT A NUMBER OF FISH BY HIMSELF EVEN THIS YEAR, BUT WE JUST NOW HAD THE CAMARE. I hope this clears up any confussion.

So I know I am doing 2 blogs today but it has been too long and I had too many cute pictures!! These ones are over eAster and the day before, at the easter egg hunt by our house. Jimmy as you can see did really well for having to go up against other moms and dads!!! But in the end he had a blast and did really well also. He also got a chance to ride the ponies!!! he loved it!! I think we might have some kind of cowboy in the making!! The one picture is the best/only picture that you can see my belly so now you all know how big I am!!! And the last few pictures are of Easter morning. I hope everyone had a great Easter.

Well here it is the first picture of JImmy P catching his own fish by himself!!! He actually did better then both Jim and myself. He caught the "big one". This is a little creek about 2 minutes from the house. He has already had so much fun catching fish. We are thrying to limit the number of times we go out because we don't want him to get sick of it, but I am wondering if that is even possible! He asks to go fishing everyday at least twice!!! I guess he is a true O'Brien!

Yes it has been a long time and yes a lot of things have happened. First, my Mom came to visit!!! It was a blast and we all had so much fun. We went to D.C. and showed her the sites and had fun hanging out here. She had to leave a few days later becuase we had a snow storm come.. I know it was such a bummer :) I loved having her here the extra few days!!
But the Snow that has been the main the thing happening to us, as I am sure you have read about or seen on the news! Snow, snow and more snow, I would say we have 3 to 4 feet in our yard right now, at least.
We also had some more vistors, Darren and Katie came to see us and stay for a few days! We had a lot of fun with them here also, they were also here for a big snow storm. As you can see in the pictures Jim and Darren sure had a lot of fun in it!! As did Jimmy P
And yes I am now 26 weeks and getting very big, maybe next time I'll take a picture of the belly to show you all!! hehe

Well here is the coolest snowman in Southern Maryland or at least I sure think so!!
We built this snowman across the street from our house,a nd as of now it is still standing we will see how much longer that be true. It is nice to know that we having something to do with all that snow!!!

Something I have learned, they must not get too much snow here. We had a snow storm over this last weekend and got about 18 inches. It was really cool, and it all but shut down the DC area. I guess they don't get very large storms here. But it is really cool to look around and see everyhting with snow on it. Jimmy P is loving it, he is out and playing in the snow all the time!! He is having a blast, they only thing is that we only have a pink snow bibs... hehe and he also lost his bennie at Christmas town, so he is wearing one of mine, I am not sure what is sadder they fact helooks like a little girl or the fact that his head fits into an adult bennie!

We went to Christmas town on the 18th! It is in Williamsburg VA and it was so much fun. A little cold, but a lot of fun. We saw Elmo, Santa, pengiuns, and horses, we also rode a train. Jimmy P had so much fun!!! and so did we!!

We have a had a fun November so far. Some fishing.. what can I say we do love to fish. and of course what else is there to do on a day when it is raining then get dressed and go and play in the rain.. I think it is safe to say Jimmy P had fun! :)

Pumpkin Patch!!

Over last weekend we went to a pumpkin patch that is really close to our house. And let me tell you all the fun that we had!!!

First there was the bucket rides.... Jimmy P was not so sure about it, but ended up going on the ride around the farm.

Then came the petting zoo, well there really wasn't much petting mostly just looking.

But Jimmy seemed to really like the pony and the pigs

He also seemed to love playing in the "corn box" yup that is right corn box, just like a sand box but with corn!!!

And of course there was a little corn maze that he loved, and then the pumpkin patch where he helped us pick out a great pumpkin! we had a great weekend!!

As I am sure you can tell, Jim is the one who posted last. No words or tittles just pictures of deer and fish... that is Jim :) But for who would like to know, Jim caught a huge bass 7 lbs 6 oz bigger then most newborns, it was huge, and also as you can tell I had a hard time hold that big guy up, he was heavy!! Jimmy P also caught a huge blue gill, it almost looks like a crappie but it is a blue fine, we had a fun day. And what would it be, if we had not on our way home seen about 50 deer in the fields!!
So now I have updated those pictures!

potty trained, fishing, and airports

Wow we have been busy, for those who do not know, Jimmy P is potty trained!!! yea!!!!!! It was surprisingly easy with him, I guess that means next kid will be hard. Oh well I'll take the good luck now! We also went on a trip back to Ca for Jim's brothers wedding. It was a great trip. And Jimmy P did a great job, for it being his first potty trained trip in a plane no less. He was a champ with the long flights and layovers. I must say the best invention ever is the portable dvd players, what a lifesaver that was. :) And of course we have been fishing, and Jimmy P loves it still. We have to spell out the word otherwise he goes crazy, and ask us to go every 2 seconds. Besides that we got a new car this weekend a 09 Honda civic. It is a nice car, I am very happy because now we have two cars, which means more play time for me and Jimmy P!! :)

St Marys Lake Fishing

Our first fishing trip in Maryland!!! Oh and we cought fish!! Went to St Mary's Lake. It is only about 5 minutes from our house. It was so nice!! Beautiful weather, frogs, birds and lot of fish. We all caught some bluegill and Jim caught a ton of bass, especialy since we did not stay very long, because Jimmy P needed to take a nap. But it was awesome! the lake is so peaceful and nice with picnic benches all over and a 7.5 mile trail around the lake, that you can walk, ride bike or even horses on! I really enjoyed our time out there. I may have gotten a few mesquitoe bites, but not too many. And then Jim went crabing about 1 mile from the house and caught crabs!! So we had crabs for dinner!!! It really great! And of course we had fireworks for the 4th of July, and now Jiimy P askes everyday for more firecrackers!! it is so cute, he really like them!

Well we finaly got here, okay well we have been here for a while I just have been busy, but don't worry I am going to start writting again. I drive took us 6 days, it was long, but it was also cool to see so many new states. My favorite state was Kentucky. I really liked it there, maybe only becuase of the horses. Ha ha. I can now say that have been to 17 states, not bad. before it was 6. (not including airport stops) But I must say that I like here. Our house is really nice, and we have some nice neioborghs. We have been trying out crabbing, but much to Jims disapointment we have only caught 3 crabs, but I think we will get the hang of it soon. We have a park that is really close only about a five minute walk, and the libray is also there. Today I am taking Jimmy to story time for toddlers at the liabary. Okay the pictures are of parts of the house, I will put more up later.

MOVING

So for all of you who don't know, which may not be too many, we are moving. We will be moving to Maryland. Jim has been asked to "transfer" out there! I am really excited, being how I have only lived in PQ and in R/C. But it will be sad to leave our families. :( This will be an adventure. It is for about 2 years or so ( maybe a little less). Jim will be growing and working in DC and a base called PAX. Jimmy P will be able to go to some of the best ped orthos in the world for his legs. So that is a big plus. So Jill I am not sure how far Pitts is, but we will most definitely need to see each other!!! :) You are the only person even close that I will know. Stef you are the next closest at what did we decide 10 hrs?? We are now looking for houses back there, Jim is back there now, comes home tonight but then we all will go out there in about 2 weeks and hopefully sign our lease then! :) Maybe if we go back there Jim will have to travel less, since that is where he goes the most. Oh and by the way in case you did not hear my son counts to 10... at 20 months....:) Such a big boy!!!

Easter was great, my parents and younger bother and sister where here. We had so much fun. And Jimmy had 3 egg hunts and by the end he was the best hunter!

Well it got warm on Saturday. So while parts of the US are still frezzing and snowing, we had 81 deggree weather and took out the pool!!! Jimmy loved it!! He Jumped, splashed and had just a blast. Then it came time to mow the grass. Jimmy thought he help Dad but what he forgot was the fact that he HATES our grass and will not walk on it barefoot!!! Hehe so this is what ended happening! :) All in and all it was a blast. I know it has been a long time, we had some busy weeks!! But I will start to do better!!!

It has been a long time, this I know, and I am sorry for it taking me so long. I am sure most of you know that Jimmy got very sick, so that took up a lot of the time, and the rest of the time that I did not post? I chalk it up to laziness and being busy. For the most part I have also just not been taking very many pictures believe it or not. I use to have to take at least 2 pictures a day, and now... I am lucking if I get more then one a month, unless something big happens. But then again I use to take a ton pictures at the park, I have not taken one in about 2 or 3 months there.. I guess Jimmy keeps me more busy now. I think it is a pretty normal thing, though. I can remember looking through baby pictures of Tara and she has way more when she is little, and she has way more then us other kids have too. So I guess it is normal. So I am sorry for all those who I promised a picture every day. I did do that for about a month then it became about 1 ever other day then once a week, and now well like I said it has been about 2 months. Oh well, maybe I'll take more again today... then again who I am kidding I most likely wont.
