I guess it has been a long time

I know I have been absent from blogging for quite awhile.  Maybe even the longest ever, which is saying something!! Well with Summer coming to end we have had a many adventures.  Here some photos of vacations, Wild Animal Park and Sea World visits, fishing trips, and more.

We went up to Mammoth for a vacation and got to see somethings that I had no idea where even there!
My grandpa, Ken built a cabin up there years and years ago, it fun to have my kids stay in the same place I did at their ages. Jim and Jimmy got do some fly fishing on the Owens River. It was really something. We went on a hike to Parker lake 4 miles round trip! and the kids did great! Michael walked the whole way never once even complaining. I needed more rest then he did, especially on the way up.

We have sorta started a new pier fishing trip.  We go to Crystal pier and Jim and Jimmy go down the pier to start fishing while Mike, Keira and I  go and get Kono's for breakfast.  It is awesome!! although the boys wish they would have got shark by now, I am just happy to have yummy food and reel in a few mackerels.  As they say we have had a few Mack attacks.
We have a year pass to the Zoo and Wild Animal Park, one pass gets you into both places. I loved going when I was kid, and I think the kids enjoy it too. The Wild Animal Park has a new tiger exhibit which is a great way to see them.

For Jimmy's Birthday we went to Sea World.  The kids all loved it. We saw Shamu and Jimmy can now tell you how long a killer whale can hold its breath under water and how far it can dive.  Very educational!!!

The summer had started

Well since summer had started I thought I would share with you some happens around here!!
Here is Jimmy's Field Day, where he competed without competing and some fun sack races and surfing lessons.  Mike got in on the fun too!

A few weeks back Uncle Steve, Aunt Kathy, Steveo, and Hank came for a visit.
we had fun running all over and seeing the zoo and going to Mission Bay all in the same day!
And of course more rock spot photos!!!
And our first "keeper size" halibut!!
And in very exciting news Jimmy lost his first tooth and then a few days late lost his second.  Both on the bottom.  The first one he accidentally swallowed it. But he says it happens!

Fun Times!!!

"There is fun to be had you just have to know how!!!"
My favorite quote from Cat in the Hat. And we have found out how to do it!!
We have been going to bays, beaches, Padre games and fishing.

what can I say Keira loves to get wet, no matter what temp is outside Keira will stay in the water the whole time!!!

Keira and Michael's first Padre game was a hit.  Thanks Dad for the awesome seats!!

We have been doing a lot fishing at the "Rock Spot" aka Harbor Island.
The boys love it because there is a rock wall to climb down in order to fish, it is very dangerous to them

Most of the catches at the "Rock Spot" are halibut and different types of bass.

I know, two post in less then 24 hours.  Crazy!!! Bu t I wanted to make sure that we got some photos in of Easter, because they look so cute!!!

My sister, Tara, put on an Easter party at Poway Park.  It was awesome.  All the kids had so much fun and the weather and location were great.  The kids had fun playing games and having a big Easter egg hunt with a bunch of little kids. Of course the Easter Bunny visited our house first.

Recent activity

We have been having fun and trying to stay cool in the heat!!
We are really enjoying our little house but are hoping that the heat ends because we have no A/C.  It is not too bad. I heard that it is the hottest it has been in a 100 years.  Not sure if that is true or not.

Here we have photos of Mikey at the Zoo and the Kids playing in the water trying to beat the heat

Tommy and Taylor came to visit and it was a fun time!! We went fishing at the bay and the kids, especially Keira loved getting wet.  She would fall in the water and just laugh and get right back up, never even cried about it.  And that water was cold!!

The Padres had a Little League Day at Petco. So Jimmy's team went early and got to walk on the field and then they sat together at the game.  It was a fun day.

It finally got warm here for one full day!!! Yesterday 67 degrees went to the park for some baseball.  Today it is raining/snowing again 34 degrees... I guess that groundhog did see his shadow.

We did have a good time though!

Found a new super cool blog.  It has great tips on photography and fun photo challenges.  I thought I'd give it a try! Why not?

Sorry I have not posted in a long time!!!
But don't worry because I come with tons and tons of photos!!!
Fist we have our last snow day, not to confused with the one we are going to get today

Now I did a collage of all the kids. I love collages I think they are so fun and it is much fast/easier to upload one collage then all the photos. And lets face it, the big reason you all look is to see photos of the kids!!!

Here is Keira.. 9 mos, she crawls, pulls herself up on everything, standing by herself and walking around the tables while holding on. She is 19 lbs 3oz (68%) and in the 62% in heights and her head is only at 95%. (still on the charts compared to the boys who were and still are off the charts)

Now Michael who is 3 1/2, and is growing fast.  He writes his name, (sometimes with too many m's or e's). Is really good at playing by himself.  Loves Keira, sometimes we find him in the car holding her hand and singing to her).  Is really good at drawing and making "castles/boats/forts" with blocks!

Last but not least, Jimmy.  Who is now 6 and in Kindergarten.  He is a so smart! Loves math, he is doing multiplication, graphing, division, algebra, and so much more! He reads really well, and is always asking questions about everything! He loves his brother and sister and is often carrying Keira around and is becoming such a  huge help.  You can count on Jimmy to always help.  He still loves playing baseball, football, and riding his bike. And can not wait till Michael grows up a little more so he can really play sports with him.
